A broad pale crest rises above a patterned copper-toned crown, with a dark trailing section at the rear. Contrasting gold-toned cheek pieces, a narrow nose guard and a small rosette fitting give Corinthian Helmet C its distinctive profile. The side photograph records a hinge above the cheek piece.

Historical context
“Corinthian Helmet C” is retained as the Archaeopolis catalogue name. The Met’s late sixth-century BCE Corinthian helmet (1992.180.2) provides a historical comparison for the facial protection. Its enclosing construction differs from the articulated cheek arrangement visible here, so this contemporary piece is presented as an interpretation rather than an exact copy of that museum object.
