A contemporary Archaeopolis arrow with an elongated, leaf-shaped bronze head and a pronounced central ridge, mounted on a wooden shaft with red feather fletching. This listing concerns the narrow-headed, red-fletched design shown individually in the photographs.

Aegean and eastern Mediterranean parallels

The British Museum arrowhead 1856,0826.446, excavated on Kalymnos, has a leaf-shaped bronze blade, midrib, socket and a single side barb. The museum dates it to 675–400 BCE and associates it with Archaic Greek, Classical Greek and Achaemenid contexts. The curatorial discussion relates this family to Anatolia and the Ionian cities.

The comparison here concerns the elongated leaf-shaped outline and central ridge. The Kalymnos example’s barb and socket should not be assumed for the modern arrow, whose mounting is covered by its binding. It is a related archaeological form, not an identification of this design as an exact Kalymnian replica.

A second relevant record is the Met’s bronze arrowhead 26.199.291, described as leaf-shaped with a midrib and tang, Greek or Achaemenid, 6th–4th century BCE or later. Together, these records show that similar outlines could be combined with different methods of mounting.

The wooden shaft, feather colours and bindings describe the contemporary workshop object. The archaeological sources cited above concern ancient finds; they do not establish a surviving complete arrow with this exact combination of parts.
