€750 per piece · Made to order

A compact sculptural axe with a sweeping hooked profile, a broad opposite end and a deep reddish-brown haft. The contrast between the smooth head and the wrapped grip gives this individual Archaeopolis design its character.

Design concept and aesthetic direction: Georgios Katsos and Archaeopolis. Handcrafted by Dimitris Katsikis. The price is for one hooked axe, as shown in the product photograph.

The hooked projection balanced by a heavier opposite end offers a formal comparison for this contemporary design. The reference is a sixteenth-century war hammer, not an ancient Greek axe or an exact prototype of the workshop piece.
