The documented object

The gallery presents the contemporary Archaeopolis piece in archive photographs 007, 006, 008. These photographs are the visual reference for your enquiry; the final specification is agreed individually.

Historical and design context

The historical-world label identifies the inspiration and archive grouping of this contemporary design. It is not a claim that the complete piece reproduces a single excavated armour.

Ephorate of Antiquities of Argolida — Dendra — further historical reading, not an identified exact prototype.

Historical reference photo

A documented comparison for the form, motif or construction — not a photograph of the product offered for sale.

The segmented torso and lower protection can be compared with the overlapping plates of the Dendra panoply. The contemporary segmentation, attachments and finish are not asserted to match the excavated armour exactly.
