The documented object
The gallery presents the contemporary Archaeopolis piece in archive photographs 012. These photographs are the visual reference for your enquiry; the final specification is agreed individually.
Historical and design context
Late Archaic-period inspiration. Met 2011.604.1.1173a, b (490–480 BCE) explicitly records a panther device on a warrior’s round shield. This is a shield-emblem comparison, not an attribution to Pylos or a named clan. The modern spotted animal, pose and border are not asserted to duplicate the fragment.
The Met — Warfare in Ancient Greece — further historical reading, not an identified exact prototype.
Historical reference photo
Ancient iconographic evidence, not a photograph of the modern product or proof of identical construction.

The exterior view shows the fragmentary warrior-and-shield scene. The museum identifies the animal shield device as a panther. It is not the reverse view or the previously used perfume vessel. This supports the emblem type, not the exact modern pose or a named city.
