The documented object

The gallery presents the contemporary Archaeopolis piece in archive photographs 001, 002. These photographs are the visual reference for your enquiry; the final specification is agreed individually.

Historical and design context

Greaves belong to the protective equipment documented in the ancient Greek world. This workshop design is presented as an interpretation, not as a certified copy of a named museum object.

The Met — Corinthian helmet and pair of greaves — further historical reading, not an identified exact prototype.

Historical reference photo

A documented comparison for the form, motif or construction — not a photograph of the product offered for sale.

The curved shin protection can be compared with these ancient Greek greaves. The modern decorative panel, padded backing and straps are separate workshop features, not details established by this pair.
